Staged in the Robert Else Gallery (Fall 2018) at California State University, Sacramento, ‘A Tasteless Liquid That Forms the Sea’ in an art new media, site-based installation. Nineteen silk-like panels were asymmetrically suspended from the gallery ceiling. Room vents and visitor activity activate the silk panels’ motion in varying degrees. Four projectors were installed on each wall. The projectors were placed specifically; interacting with the other projectors through light throw and luminosity, flowing silk panels and static walls. The sound system and speakers were set in the ceiling, giving the audio a wide and non-defined reach within the entire gallery space.
